Throw in the need for some drama for a TV show, and you have a recipe for disaster for most bar owners. Pulling this all off requires more than most can handle.
Plus booking bands and staffing an event with quality personnel, souvenir shops and vendors. We are talking two truckloads of beer per night. A typical bar owner would have no idea how to pull it off. Operating a business of this magnitude that requires months of planning is tough. The comment earlier that trashed the "players" was disgustingly out of line, inappropriate and wrong. Also, I have known one of the primary stars for many years. I have worked the rally and have seen the kind of things presented on the show. At one point in my life I lived in the full throttle area.
So keep your eyes and ears open and enjoy what these artists are sharing.Okay, that title isn't totally misleading but I'm not completely "inside". I've compiled a daily list of major entertainers performing during the rally but remember there's much more music bouncing around the Black Hills all throughout the event. So let's see who's going to be hitting the stage in 2022! Admittedly trying to take in all the awe-inspiring nature is probably a little tricky when surrounded by half a million folks. It's surprising how many people from the region haven't experienced the physical beauty of South Dakota's Black Hills. Make sure you don't miss the scenic routes when you're in the Hills. The good news is that Ice-T and the Art of Rap lineup snuck into Snoop's slot. It's no slight to Sturgis, Snoop canceled numerous touring dates including a big trek across Europe.
Snoop was scheduled to be a major headliner at Sturgis 2022 until he decided he wasn't coming. Unfortunately, Snoop Dogg will not be one of them. August 5th through 14th well over half a million people are expected at least a portion of the rally. Many come for the meeting of the worldwide motorcycle community and many come simply for the music. The "Granddaddy of 'em all" is celebrating its 82nd year.Īttendance of the 2015 Sturgis Rally was figured to be close to 739,000 people.
